Aspects of anthropological methods covered are: The module examines the relationship between theory and method within anthropology. We are concerned with the specific techniques that are used by anthropologists as they conduct their fieldwork. This module also draws attention to how ethnographic knowledge produced during fieldwork is both relational and contextual.
Hi,I'm 13 years old. D about 11 years ago my other question is I was wondering what would be the best college or university to attend for this field if I live in Ohio? So my concern is that im thinking the wrong path for me, I mean i dont wanna go out and find like all the mythological creatures like nessy the lochness monster just bigfoot: She is a senior and lives in Fort worth, Texas.
What degree programs are available and what colleges? If we wanted to be a Zoologist, would we have to take classes like Chemistry or anymore math classes? I am a senior in high school and I have recently got accepted into a cal state.
I want to major in Zoology because I love animals. I want to focus more on birds is there a way to do that as a zoologist?
I read some of the other comments and many of the people were saying it a very hard career to major in. Do you really spend most of your time in a lab or do you travel and study exotic animals?
Zoology is indeed not a field to be entered into lightly. Employment is scarce, working conditions and wages are not ideal for the lifestyle I would like. I would also encourage anyone interested in "Playing with animals" "Only wanting to observe animals" and "Not working in a laboratory" to actually evaluate what being a zoologist entails.
This website has a lot of information. JUst fix it please k i will keep checking in and makeing more comments.
D over 9 years ago i am a senior in college and i am confused! I don't think all of you grasp the concept of the zoology field. It isn't all field work. Most field work is done maybe a few months out of the year and the rest is spent behind a desk or in a lab reviewing the information collected from the site.
Besides if you want to do research or field work you usually have to have an M. It is very serious hard work and isn't about playing with animals. For those of you wanting to simply just play with animals you may want to keep that as a hobby not a career.
The best chance of studying exotic animals such as big cats you may want to get involved in a zoo keeper program. That may be the best route and there are degree programs specifically for that especially in Florida and California.
To be an expert in a field you need to get a Ph. And I suggest volunteering or getting a part-time job to gain any type of animal experience and then you can decide if that is really what you want.
I have a zoology degree. The coursework is very difficult, hard work, and not for everyone. So please don't make this decision lightly.
It is a very serious and intense and not for people looking to play with animals. All of these comments are years old.
I guess this article has been up for ages Wow about 2 years ago so I have homework and its an all kinds of scientists worksheet although im in eighth grade again I don't remember doing this last year so I need help.Zoologists often specialize in the study of one group of animals.
For example, ichthyologists concentrate on the fish family.
Some ichthyologists provide basic knowledge about fish. No Turning Back: The Life and Death of Animal Species () suffers the same problems that has plagued other books written by Ellis: an excessive use of quoting and - at least for cetaceans (whales, dolphins, and porpoises) - dumb mistakes.
A zoo is a place where animals live in captivity and are put on display for people to view. The word “zoo” is short for “zoological park.” Zoos contain wide varieties of animals that are native to all parts of the Earth. It is an important debate whether animals should be kept in the zoos or not.
Zoos also claim to breed animals for eventual release to the wild, but breeding programs are primarily to ensure a captive population, not for reintroduction. There is a commonly held misconception that zoos are not only saving wild animals from extinctions, but also reintroducing them to their wild habitats.
A cause and Effect essay is where a writer analyses the consequences or reasons for a subject, action or event. There are different types of cause and effect that one may take into consideration. The Benefits of Animal Zoos Essay examples - Tigers, lions, giraffes, and other exotic animals are rarely seen in the wild.
However the public, without humans and/or animals being harmed at the same time, can see exotic animals when a zoo opens.
